Jun Butron, taxi driver and social commentator.

Yes, he is talking to you.

Meet Jun Butron, a 59-year old taxi driver with a lot to say about anything and everything.

Today Jun lashes out at the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the Land Transportation Office (LTO), and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for failure to fix Metro Manila’s traffic problems.

He blames the LTFRB for the colorum buses and cars on EDSA, rails against the corruption in the LTO and the Philippine National Police (PNP), and lambasts the inefficiency of the MMDA. Nothing new really, but Jun voices out our thoughts backed by 18 years of experience driving the streets of Metro Manila as a cabbie.  That’s 18 years of traveling through the city’s innards. More importantly, that’s 18 years of listening to AM radio commentaries.

Today, his radio is off, and he does his own editorial of what ails the country. Frankly, I don’t know of a better qualification to deliver an early morning manifesto of what this country needs.
